How to Solve Vowelgram Puzzles

by Chip Brown

To solve a vowelgram puzzle, you need to fit a group of consonants around given vowels to form a word or phrase. All of the vowels will be filled in*, and the consonants will be provided in alphabetical order.

For example:

Fit the letters D D K T Y into the grid to make a word.
A I

The solution here is:

K A T Y D I D

*For purposes of these puzzles, Y is always treated as a consonant, even if it is used as a vowel in the answer.

Hints

If you get stuck, don’t forget you can get hints by tapping on the icon. You have the option to reveal a letter or answer and also to clear out any errors. It’s not cheating to ask for a hint — the goal is to have fun, so if asking for a hint increases your enjoyment, feel free.
